More and more we face various challenges both in our inner and material world. Anxiety and even panic and despair can enter us, but these energies are not good counselors.
Coloring mandalas is a truly stress-relieving and calming experience. But in reality, the power of mandalas is unimaginably wide and deep, and their greatness extends far beyond these borders. I want to offer you to go a step further in the mandala coloring experience and discover a piece of this great power for yourself.
Mandalas can be used in many different ways. Basically, their formation is a method of concentrating energy. Various purposes and ways of doing it can make mandalas of different uses. This time I would like to offer a unique Guardian Mandala which I created specifically for this practice and the corresponding coloring method, that I have developed based on personal experience and knowledge.
It will be like a practical meditation and ritual where you can tune into the necessary energies and talk to your subconscious to match your current needs. In turn, I will try my best to present this method as simply as possible so that it can be performed by everyone in the comfort of their home environment, regardless of whether you have experience in meditations or not.
The purpose of the Guardian Mandala is
– to gain inner peace and a sense of security
– to give confidence and the ability to cope with challenges
– to tune your subconscious mind so that it does not receive information that would cause unnecessary anxiety and stress
– tune your subconscious mind to find the right information and solutions to preserve and increase security and resources.
If that’s what you feel the need for right now, then let’s move on!

Preparation
Give yourself at least an hour and a half of uninterrupted solitude. This might be the most difficult condition if you have a family. But know that the goal of inner peace and security becomes even more important and serious if you also have to bear responsibility for others. And you know, if the process gets a little messy, that’s better than nothing.
Figure out where you will paint the mandala and clean and organize that area. You don’t need to do a big cleaning, the specific area will be enough. If it’s a table, clean it, and get rid of distracting things if there are any. If it’s a bed, make it, and change the sheets. While you are doing this, think about your situation, what is happening and what you are feeling, and find the inner reason why you are doing this mandala painting ritual. There is no need to plunge into deep self-analysis and look for underwater rocks. Simply notice your current thoughts and feelings and become aware of the goal you want to achieve. Basically, in this process, you both perform a small internal analysis and decide to make changes in your inner world. The exact same process also happens in a purely physical way when you clean and organize your space. Your thinking goes hand in hand with your actions.
Print the Guardian Mandala. You can download the pdf. file with a standard A4 one-page document below. Also, there is a jpg. file with the same mandala. Choose the most suitable for your printing preferences. It is best to print the mandala on thick drawing paper.
Pick the tools that you want to color with. It doesn’t matter if it’s pencils, markers, or something else. Take what you have and what you like.
Light a candle or smoke incense, so you can express your inner intention in a practical form for the purity and lightness of the following process. You can also put your favorite crystal or just your favorite tea in a cup next to you. You can be spontaneous in your choice. Maybe you have a cute angel figurine? It can be anything that gives you an extra sense of peace, security, support, or other pleasant emotions. You can turn on some meditative music if you like it. Make yourself comfortable. Take several deep breaths in and out to calm yourself down.
Mandala coloring.
When Tibetan monks create their sand mandalas, their most difficult task is not to depict the required pattern delicately and accurately. That is to concentrate and control the mind, so the same mandala, only multidimensional, is created in the imagination.
It will be very similar in our case. The most important thing will not be to paint this mandala in the prettiest way. The hardest part will be to create these symbols energetically in your imagination. You have already been given a template of universal symbols arranged based on numerology and sacred geometry to move the appropriate energies into your subconscious. But you are the one who gives the real power and meaning to these symbols. You give power to them. Imagine that every ornament and symbol that you paint, at the same time energetically activates. At the moment of coloring, you and the mandala are as one. What is activated on paper is also activated in your subconscious mind, therefore in your life.
Place a piece of paper in front of you. Feel yourself, your body sitting here and now, and imagine that at the same time some part of you is also here and now in the center of the mandala. It is as if you have sent a small ray of light from your heart onto this white page. With this thought, color the first circle in the center of the mandala. Choose the color you like for this little piece of yourself. Then continue painting the rest of the circles below the eight-pointed star. It is a continuation of your center. Choose the colors you like. Your color choices could be different from mine. Also, if you ever repeat this ritual, your choice will probably change as well.

Next, start painting the octagonal star. This star symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and protects from all evil. Imagine that as you fill every area of it with color, you also activate its power in your life. Ask yourself – What colors make me feel strong? Without thinking for a long time, instinctively select them and paint.

Next, you have to color the symbols of the outer part of the mandala.
Four watchtowers, each facing its own side of the sky.
This is your protection. Imagine having all the necessary resources you could ever need for your safety and peace of mind. These towers are full of it and of guards who keep watch and manage the situation. Color in the colors you associate with this security.

Four antennae symbolize the exchange of information. Imagine that they have the ability to both repel negative information and extract the right information that you might need. Activate them with colors of your choice.

Paint the background circles below the outer symbols with the idea that it is an energy that balances and helps align you with the activated symbols. Choose the colors that will give the desired unity and make the mandala more whole in your opinion.

Last, paint the outer decorative circle of the mandala. Imagine that it is the place of some higher divine power that protects you. What do you turn to in your prayers? Color it with gratitude. Look at your whole mandala, maybe there is something you want to add. If so, do it.

Conclusion
Look at your mandala. Try to feel the power and meaning of each symbol. Merge with it in your mind and imagine that the part of yourself that you sent to the mandala is with you back again. Now it returns with all its power, safety, confidence, and ultimate protection and merges with you. Take several deep breaths in and out. Thank yourself for the work done. Observe your feelings. Have they changed? Looking back at your situation now, is there anything you would do differently? Maybe you have a new insight, so be sure to write it down.
You can place the mandala in a visible place. In the moments when the feeling of insecurity comes again, watch it, see yourself in it, and feel how much power you have been given, and how much protection is with you. If you need advice, tell the mandala in your mind about your situation and ask for the necessary information. Keep it as long as it is relevant to you. If you ever feel like repeating this mandala painting ritual, burn the previously created mandala in gratitude and start over.
If you have any questions about this process, feel free to ask them in the comments section, and I’d be very happy if you share how it went for you.
May peace and safety always be with you!
